1954 Pontiac Star Chief Catalina 2-Door Hard Top

Well we got another one.  This one we can drive most anywhere we wish, within reason.  The car is an ' older restoration' and needs quite a bit of cosmetic work.  The more I dig into it the more I find that needs to be fixed, but for the most part it's a solid car.  The motor (8L) has about 75 miles since a complete overhaul, the brake system has all new ,drums, shoes, flex lines and bearings. There is also new u-joints and  new Optma battery, fuel pump (49-51) 6V electric windshield wiper motor from a Checker cab.  With the new Denman tires it drives very well although is a kin to 'driving your sofa down the road.  I'll put more on the page as the project develops.  The pictures below were taken the day we brought the car home from Whittier.  I've spent a bit of time in polishing, waxing and cleaning chrome and the car is quite presentable as a 20 footer..  .
